The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-Kaiser Permanente Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study
Is one of the largest investigations ever conducted on childhood abuse and neglect, and household challenges, with later-life health and well-being. The study looked at how witnessing or experiencing abuse, neglect, and violence, the loss of a parent due to jail, death, or suicide, a parent or other adult in the house having a mental illness or addiction impacts a child's physical health and the likelihood of a negative trajectory of the child's life. Take this simple 10 question survey to see what your score is, and consider how you may have been impacted by your childhood events.
